Anti Aging Treatments: Top Causes of Wrinkles and What to Do?
Aging
The first and foremost cause of wrinkles is natural aging. As the body ages, the skin becomes less elastic and more susceptible to permanent impressions caused by frequent facial muscle contractions and general gravitational effects. This is much like an aging apple. Before it is ripe, and apple is resistant to outside effects, such as pressing one’s thumb against the skin. However, when it is ripe or over-ripe that same amount of thumb pressure may create an indent in the apple’s surface. The same relationship exists between human aging and skin.
Though aging is inevitable, there are some factors that might increase your susceptibility to premature aging and wrinkles. These factors include exposure to sunlight, exposure to tanning booths, and long-term smoking habits.
UV Radiation: The Sun and Tanning Booths
While sunlight makes possible our existence on earth, excessive exposure to its UV radiation may severely damage the skin and, in some cases, cause skin cancer. When an individual is frequently exposed to direct sunlight, tanning or burning of the skin will occur. Both tans and burns are injuries to your outer layer of skin, and your body will heal them like other injuries. The result is that a type of scar is formed, weakening the quality of the skin tissue. This weakening will cause wrinkles over time. (Notice how scars are often more wrinkled and less sensitive than the surrounding skin.)
Tanning booths are also a source of UV radiation. It can be safely said that sitting in a tanning booth is the equivalent of paying for premature wrinkles and, possibly, skin cancer. Here is one anti aging measure you can be sure of: If you want to avoid premature wrinkles, stay away from tanning booths!
Smoking
Smoking will cause premature wrinkles after a long period of time. The presence of nicotine in the body will decrease the flow of blood to the skin. As this occurs, the skin receives fewer necessary chemicals and nutrients. The result is that, like a malnourished person, the skin becomes thinner and weaker or, in other words, prematurely ages.
What Can You Do About Wrinkles?
While avoiding excessive exposure to UV rays and not smoking function well as anti aging preventative measures, other anti aging agents, such as wrinkles cream, do exist. Wrinkles cream provide the skin with nutrients that are both preventative and healing in nature. A wrinkles cream will often also clean the skin with exfoliants, which will improve the general quality of your skin appearance, having an anti aging effect on your skin.
Leading wrinkles cream products include Oxytokin, Renuvie Night Repair, Prototype #37-C, and 7 Second Eye Lift. These anti aging wrinkles cream products all promise to decrease wrinkles and give skin a fresher appearance. They are, more or less, equally effective.
